A season to be thankful for

On Sunday the Garioch ladies took on another trip away this time to the muddy pitch of Violetbank. The ladies of Kellands had a long commute to make and a hard game to play against the Annan Warriors, but alas come out on top once again.

With the home side taking away four tries from the day it was a fast paced and psychical last game of the year for the visitors. However, it was not one but four of the Garioch ladies that crossed the whitewash on Sunday and with the aid of 3 conversions from Alisha Ross the table toppers came away with a 38-20 win over the Warriors. Lorna Young and Louise Murray both took home a try each with Rebecca Bestwick and Quiterie de Jonchay taking home another two each.

Garioch were really putting the graft from training and this reflected in the scoreline however it is the 20 points from the opposition that will drive them into hard training come the New Year with some of the biggest games of the season still yet to be played.

Next Year the ladies will commence their dominant run in National 1 with a game against Kelso at Fortress Kellands on the 9th of January.

Hope to see you all there in the New Year to cheer on our Garioch Ladies who will be raring to go. In the meantime, take a look at some highlights of the Garioch tries against the Annan Warriors:
